The Inn welcomes you to explore and indulge in our exotic Chinese New Year Festival Specials.Frank Miller, who traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia on family vacations, cemented the resort’s Asian influences. The Nanking Bell, is the largest bell in The Inn’s collection; over 6 feet high and weighs 1.5 tons. This nineteenth-century cast bronze Chinese Temple Bell came to Frank Miller in 1914 as an addition to his collection of bells. This bell was one of the first items to leave China after the Boxer Rebellion in 1912 and was once coveted by Louis Comfort Tiffany who wrote a blank check in an attempt to purchase this bell, in which Mr. Miller ultimately declined.
The Asian influence is evident in The Court of the Orient located on the 1st Floor of the Inn. The courtyard showcases Frank Miller’s interest in the Far Eastern Cultures with Oriental lanterns and marble steps that lead to the upper level. This area is used for dinners, intimate weddings, and other gatherings.
